iMetWeb.Net Setup
Windows 2000

1.) Click on "Start", and click on "Control Panel"

2.) If you see "Pick a Category", click the "Network and Internet Connections" icon, then click on "Internet Options" icon at the bottom. If your Control Panel is in the older Windows Classic view, just double click on Internet Options. The "Internet Properties" window should open up. Click on the "Connections" tab, click the "Setup" button. A connection "wizard" screen should open, just click "Next".

3.) Select the 1st choice, "Connect to the Internet" , then click "Next".

4.) Make sure the dot is on "Set up my connection manually", then click "Next".

5.) On the next window, select "Connect using a dial-up modem", then click "Next". You will need to type a name of your ISP, type in iMetWeb.Net , then click "Next".

6.) Type in the phone number for your local dialing location. Marysville - 644-9234, Richwood - 268-4109, * This number is a local call from the Richwood exchange (943-xxxx).

7.) Type in your user name (username@imetweb.net) and password if you wish your password to be saved, so you don't have to enter it each time you want to connect to the Internet. If you would rather type in your password each time to get onto the Internet, then leave the password box blank. For most connections, leave all of the boxes “checked”, then click "Next".

8.) If you get a "Completing the New Connection Wizard" window, check the box to create a shortcut, and click "Finish". Open up the "Internet Options" icon again and click on the "Connections" tab. iMetWeb.Net should be in the window, and below that, the "dot" should be on "Always dial my default connection", if not then click a "dot" on it, click "Apply" at the bottom, then click "Ok" and close any open windows.

9.)  To set up email, click "Start", then click, "Email - Outlook Express". If this is the first time setting up email on this computer, go on to Step # 11. If another service has been installed, you will need to have the Outlook Express window open, and at the top, click "Tools", then click "Accounts". Remove any accounts under the "Mail" tab, then on the right side, click "New", then click on "Mail". Then, go to Step # 11.

10.)  Enter your Display name. This is your proper name or family name that can have capital letters. Then click next.

11.) Type in your email address, which is your username@imetweb.net (all little letters), then click "Next".

12.) On the first box, it should show "POP3", and below, type in the longer box, pop.imetweb.net under Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box type in, smtp.safepages.com , then click "Next".

13.) Type in your username in the Account name box, enter in your password if you want it to be saved. Do not check the box for "Log on using Secure Password Authentication(SPA), then click "Next", then click "Finish". Then close the Accounts window, and close Outlook Express.

14.) You should be able to connect to iMetWeb.Net through either Internet Explorer, or Outlook Express by clicking “Start” and then clicking on the Program you want.
